Halsall's Honey
Vendors: Brent and Audrey Halsall
Originally from Toronto, Brent Halsall moved to rural Ontario in 1978 and decided to try his hand at keeping bees three years later. What began as a curiosity has evolved into a passion and has lead Brent down a path which includes working as a bee inspector for OMAFRA (the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs) and as President of the Ontario Bee Keeper's Association. With the OFM since 2006, Brent keeps 200 hives and sells bees, honey, pollen and beeswax candles dipped by his own hand. As one of only two suppliers of churned honey in Ontario, Brent is easy to spot at the market as he cheerfully provides samples of the delicious churned honey to lucky passersby.
